The package system, including sterile barrier systems and shipping container, is a component of the medical device product. The packaging should ensure the characteristics and performance and where appropriate, sterility assurance level (SAL) of the medical device are not adversely affected during transport and storage taking account of instructions and information provided by the manufacturer.
